Their local service and quality have positioned them as the premier provider of synthetic slings and multi-part wire slings in the world. With locations in 12 countries and 47 full-service manufacturing facilities, the Slingmax organization consists of 39 independent companies, each exclusively licensed, trained, and certified to manufacture, repair, and test Slingmax products.
This case study will focus on a recent project created by Pixel Perfect Studios for a Slingmax product called the “Check-Fast Inspection System,” a product which helps workers determine at a glance whether a load-bearing sling is damaged or compromised. This product is intended to prevent job site accidents and to keep loads from being damaged in a fall. We sat down with Slingmax’s Dan Ross, Marketing Manager and Greg D’Elia, Head of Engineering to learn how Pixel Perfect Studio’s animation of the Check- Fast Inspection System animation was used to increase sales and overall efficiency of the company.
What challenges did you encounter with the Check-Fast Inspection System that made you consider computer animation as a solution?
The Check-Fast Inspection System was a difficult product to show without using ‘super expensive cameras’ and even then, we would not have been able to show the internal workings. The functionality of the Check-Fast Inspection was difficult to explain but very easy to show. We struggled with achieving consistency with the sales team and knew we needed to find a technology-based solution.
How were you able to enhance your business processes using the product animation we created for Slingmax? Did you experience any measurable benefits?
The animation was used to improve our Sales, Education and Training and Marketing processes. We were able to upload the animations to our mobile app and immediately circulate it to our entire team across the world. The animation proved to be very effective in helping our dealers train their sales teams uniformly. It was evident the animation helped grow our brand by making our sales teams more knowledgeable about our products.
