The work we do at Pixel Perfect Studios has given us the opportunity to work with a wide range of professionals in different businesses from real estate agents to inventors and many more. Sometimes we even get a chance to work with people in the non-profit sector who dedicate their lives to some truly noble causes. In one such project, we were honored to work with Brisa De Angulo and her Breeze of Hope Foundation. This non-profit organization was established in 2004 to provide free legal, social, and psychological services to victims of sexual violence in Bolivia and they hope to someday extend their services to victims all around the world. Here’s more about A Breeze of Hope and how Pixel Perfect Studios was able to help them create marketing materials to increase awareness about the issues they want to address and the services they offer.
Brisa De Angulo and A Breeze of Hope Foundation
From a young age, Brisa De Angulo was interested in improving the conditions in her home community. Growing up in Chilimarca, Bolivia, one of the most impoverished communities in the entire country, she witnessed the horrors of food scarcity, polluted water, unemployment, alcoholism, and violence. As a child, she took it upon herself to help local children with their homework in a safe place where they wouldn’t have to worry about the violence and poverty that surrounded them. By 1999, she obtained authorization from the Bolivian government to offer an alternative education program known as Comunidad Educativa Para La Vida (CEV). At age 15, Brisa’s future looked bright, until her 26-year old cousin came from Colombia to live and work with her.
As he assisted Brisa with her work at the CEV, her cousin began to threaten, humiliate, and sexually assault her. When she sought help from the Bolivian authorities, she was intimidated into remaining silent. Over the next three years, she went from court to court in search of justice, all the while facing threats from people in her community. Although her own case was never resolved, Brisa’s experiences led her to the realization that sexual violence and cover-ups were all too common in Bolivia. She vowed to give victims an avenue to getting the justice that had eluded her. Since she established the Breeze of Hope Foundation (ABH), she has helped train over 88,000 people in sexual violence prevention and over 10,000 in early childhood development. Her tireless advocacy has led ABH to a 95% conviction rate of child sex offenders in the cases they take on, the highest in the world. In the years to come, Brisa hopes to establish more of her education centers in other countries, making her services available to at-risk children in communities all around the world.
Handout and Animation from Pixel Perfect Studios
In order to achieve her goals, Brisa knew it was crucial to get the word out about A Breeze of Hope. She approached Pixel Perfect Studios about creating a handout that could be distributed in at-risk communities, as well as an animation that could be used for online and television advertising. The handout can be viewed here and you can watch the animation here on our Vimeo account. Brisa hopes these materials will be a big step forward in increasing awareness about her Foundation and the services they offer. At Pixel Perfect Studios, we’re so proud that we were able to use our skills to help children seek out the security and justice they deserve. In the future, we hope to continue our work with A Breeze of Hope as they grow and expand the scope of their efforts. For more information about A Breeze of Hope, visit abreezeofhope.org.
